Raffle Rules
-Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry to be eligible.
-Tickets are $100.00 each, and a total of 500 tickets will be sold.
-Proceeds from this raffle benefit WPI.
-One winner will be drawn at random. Winner need not be present to win.
-Winner is responsible for all taxes, registration, title, transfer
fees, license duties, insurance and all expenses in claiming,
registering and using the prize. This may include sales taxes and
property taxes. WPI has no liability with regard to taxes and fees for
the prize.
-The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to
participate in raffles are not deductible charitable contributions.
Check with your tax advisor for additional information.
-Raffle ends no later than December 11, 2009. Tickets will be sold
through December 11, 2009, or until 500 tickets have been sold,
whichever occurs first.
-The Raffle winner shall take the prize in "as is" condition. Winner
is responsible for arranging pick up/delivery.
-The prize must be claimed within 60 days of notification or the
winner forfeits all rights thereto, and a new winner will be selected
from the entries. Driver license or acceptable form of identification
must be presented before claiming the prize.
-Upon issuance of a raffle ticket, all sales are final and
non-refundable. However, WPI reserves the right to cancel this contest
at any time, in which event its liability is limited to refund of
ticket prices to participants.
-WPI assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated,
incomplete, illegible or non-delivered entries. Any mutilated,
incomplete or illegible entries will be deemed invalid and shall be
immediately disqualified.
-Participants release WPI and its employees, officers, directors,
donors, and agents from any and all liability with respect to
participation in the contest and possession or use of the prize
awarded and also acknowledge that they did not receive any
representation, warranty or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or
in law, relative to the prize, including but not limited to its
quality, mechanical condition or fitness.
-Ticket buyers who purchase via the internet or phone will have their
names entered in the drawing, and the actual, numbered ticket will be
sent to them via US Postal service mail.
