To investigate the expression of lymphocyte subsets and CD25+
regulative T cells in peripheral blood of patients with chronic
fatigue syndrome(CFS).

Eighty-four CFS patients and fifty healthy volunteers were enrolled in
this study.

Their peripheral blood was sampled, and the lymphocyte subsets and
CD25+ regulative T cells were measured by flow cytometry.

The results showed that the NK cells,CD4+T cells and CD25+ regulative
T cells in CFS patients were higher and B cells were lower than that
of healthy controls(P0.05),while there was no significant difference
between CFS patients and healthy controls with respect to the
percentage of T cells and CD8+T cells and CD4+/CD8+ ratio(P0.05).

The results indicated that CD25+ regulative T cell might play an
important role in CFS-related immunological abnormality, and be
involved in the progress of CFS.
