If you believe a public option is necessary in medical coverage for=20
so many M.E. and CFIDS patients who have been rendered impoverished=20
and invisible by this disease -
Contrary to earlier reports there are TWO amendments to add the=20
public option up for debate and an up or down vote in the important=20
Finance committee, subcomittee on health reform, tomorrow.
If you want a public option (the option to have coverage from the=20
government if you can't afford insurance companies), now is the time=20
to call your Congressional representatives.
This is particularly true if you are represented by:
DEMOCRATS:
Jay Rockefeller, West Virginia, Chairman
=95 Jeff Bingaman, New Mexico
=95 John Kerry, Massachusetts
=95 Blanche Lincoln, Arkansas
=95 Ron Wyden, Oregon
=95 Charles Schumer, New York
=95 Debbie Stabenow, Michigan
=95 Maria Cantwell, Washington
=95 Bill Nelson, Florida
=95 Robert Menendez, New Jersey
=95 Thomas Carper, Delaware
REPUBLICANS:
=95 Orrin Hatch, Utah, Ranking Member
=95 Olympia Snowe, Maine
=95 John Ensign, Nevada
=95 Mike Enzi, Wyoming
=95 John Cornyn, Texas
=95 Jon Kyl, Arizona
=95 Jim Bunning, Kentucky
=95 Mike Crapo, Idaho
Ex officio
=95 Max Baucus, Montana
=95 Chuck Grassley, Iowa
Even if your Senators aren't on that list, CALL them. They calculate=20
that many more people agree with a phone caller.
The easiest way to do that is to look in the blue pages of your=20
telephone book for "government, federal". Their local phone numbers=20
should be there.
Or, you can go online at www.senate.gov and find your senators and write =
them.
But apparently tomorrow is going to be the day two amendments for a=20
public option go up for a vote.
And I think that's important for an awful lot of people who have one=20
of the diseases the CDC misdiagnosed with the vapid and misleading name C=
FS.
