FIRST-TIME GIFT CHALLENGE
Dec. 12, 2011

Catalyst Fund (http://www.cfids.org/about/thecatalystfund.asp) donor Lee Meisel, MD, JD, MPH, has issued a challenge to help inspire first-time gifts in support of the Association. He will make a $10,000 "bonus" donation if we can attract 100 gifts (of any size) from new donors in 10 days. Please help us secure (http://bit.ly/2011fund) Dr. Meisel's bonus donation!

If you value our transformative research program (http://www.research1st.com/2011/11/28/accelerate/) and/or the information you receive from Research1st (our website/blog http://www.research1st.com/), via CFIDSLink (http://www.cfids.org/archives/cfidslink/december-2011.asp) our monthly e-newsletter), on our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/CFIDSAssn), through our Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/#%21/PlzSolveCFS) (or otherwise http://www.cfids.org/default.asp) and you've never made a gift before, now is the time!

Our secure online donation page is available 24/7 at http://bit.ly/2011fund. You can also call our office at 704-365-2343. If no one is available to take your call, please leave a message with contact information and someone will return your call on the next business day. You can also mail a check to PO Box 220398, Charlotte, NC 28222-0398.

If you're already an Association supporter, please share this opportunity with family and friends who may consider making a gift in your honor. You can simply "forward" this email with a note, or send a link to this same announcement (http://www.research1st.com/2011/12/09/1st-time/) posted at Research1st. We gratefully acknowledge both donor and honoree and you will both join our family of Catalysts and will receive special updates and invitations to live and web events throughout the coming year. (Even though it won't count toward this particular challenge, we'd love to receive another donation from you as well!)

To help track our progress toward 100 First-Time Gifts, we've added a new check box to our on-line donation form (http://bit.ly/2011fund). We will also double-check every donation received by mail, phone and online as they're received and we'll regularly update the tally here. The 10-day period began Dec. 9 and ends on Dec. 18. Thank you for your support and for encouraging others to support The Catalyst Fund! (http://www.cfids.org/about/thecatalystfund.asp)

Gifts of every size are needed to reach the ambitious $2 million goal. The CFIDS Association of America is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization and donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. You can make a secure online donation at http://bit.ly/2011fund or call 704-365-2343 (if no one is available to take your call, please leave a message and your call will be returned on the next business day).
