ubiquinol gave us back significant quality of life which we are now utterly
terrified of losing, myself included.
Just posted on the iHerb website:
---
Each country has different laws and regulations about buying products from
other countries. As an Australian customer, you are responsible for making
sure that buying nutritional supplements from the United States is allowed
in Australia. As a general rule however, we suggest that you don't order any
hormones, such as Pregnenolone, HGH, 7-Keto etc. Please Note: Supplements
containing DHEA, Melatonin, Egg Yolk, Bee Pollen, Banana, or Hoodia are NOT
ALLOWED to be imported into Australia. As of October, 2009, Ubiquinol is not
allowed to be imported to Australia either. Please do not order.
Please note: if customs confiscates any restricted item from your order we
will be unable to refund you for the item.
----
I cannot yet find information on why this has changed and if there are any
ways around it, but will try and post an update when I can find some more
information. Just wnated to post that now to avoid anyone ordering these
products and losing their money as well as not geting the product.
(Note that melatonin is available in Oz with a prescription from a compound
pharmacy, albeit at about 10 times the cost of the imported product; 8$ to
now $100 or more, last I checked. Sigh. Note too that if you get in quick
ubiquinol can be ordered from some Oz shops, although one assumes they wont
be able to restock once current supplies are gone.)
Hopefully we can find some way around this...somehow. Please let me know if
you have any further information. I am currently awaiting replies from
emails to Oz customs etc.
Best wishes,
Jodi Bassett
