technique of pacing

A DVD and booklet were developed to help people with chronic fatigue
syndrome to achieve a balance between rest and activity through
pacing

Abstract

Using a DVD to help people with chronic fatigue syndrome learn the
technique of pacing. Nursing Times; 105: 45, early online
publication.

The Shropshire Enablement Team, a specialist community
rehabilitation team, has produced a DVD and booklet on pacing for
people with chronic fatigue syndrome/ME.

Pacing is a technique for managing fatigue, and involves achieving
the correct balance between rest and activity. This article explains
the benefits of pacing, and how the DVD and booklet have enabled
the team to better support clients.
