Further question on: Comments on the UK's MRC "Expert Group" funding of
ME/CFS
research proposals.
Susanna Agardy
In addition to Tate Mitchell's comments on the above, there is a further
problem:
I asked a member of the committee if there was a particular definition
of ME/CFS specified by the committee which must be used by researchers.
I am informed that no definition was specified, at least a few months
ago when I asked. So, the research seems to be open to the use to any
definition, such as presumably the Oxford Criteria. It seems also
that various researchers may use differing criteria, leading to more
confusion and controversy. What is this research meant to achieve?
