explain that CFS and fibromyalgia are two different diseases despite
often being co-morbid. They do not have the same diagnostic criteria
and that is not made clear either. As well, there are no federal
guidelines for identifying fibromyalgia or CFS for that matter. The
CDC is a federal agency that has developed research definitions for
CFS, but they should not be confused with clinical definitions or
guidelines. As well, treatments are not the same although they may
overlap just as the two conditions do.
