to do. Tom]
To my fellow ME/CFS sufferers NOT in the USA: Please help us raise
major dollars for US ME/CFS charities with a click of your mouse!
As some of you may already know, Chase, a US bank, is giving away
millions to charities which garner the most votes in their Chase
Community Giving Contest on Facebook. Everyone with a Facebook account
is given 10 votes total and each person may give one vote to each
charity. The contest ends next week, Tuesday November 22 at 11:59 PM.
What you may not know is that votes from abroad by people who are not
US citizens and not Chase customers are also counted as well!

We all know that ME/CFS doesn't stop at international borders and that
events that occur in the US affect other countries and vice-versa: for
example, IACFS/ME conferences are attended by non-US researchers and
videos put out by ME/CFS Knowledge Center with talks by Dr. Klimas are
available freely to anyone worldwide. On the other hand, the PACE
trials are also bad for US patients and the apology by Norway's gov't
sparked a similar petition for an apology from the US government. So
we are all in this together. Note that in the US, ME is rarely used as
a diagnosis so the majority of ME patients are diagnosed with CFS and,
as such, the charities have CFS in their name but this does not mean
they do not address ME.
Right now, 7 ME/CFS charities are in the top 100 charities; we need to
keep them in the top 100 for another week for each to win $25,000. IF
we succeed that means $175,000 will be raised. IF everyone votes and
encourages others to vote (e.g. post this message in your country's
ME/CFS group Facebook page, website, or forum) and we land in the top
5 charities, we can get even more! THANKS!
